1.Water Parks and Splash Pads
There are several water parks and splash pads in and around New Orleans that offer a variety of water activities for all ages. Buccaneer Bay Waterpark in Waveland, Mississippi, is a popular choice with tube rides, a wave pool, and a pool for younger kids. My children’s personal favorite is Liberty Lagoon, it’s about and hour and a half away in Baton Rouge.

Another option is the largest waterpark in the New Orleans area, which features rides for kids of all ages and other exciting attractions
2. River Cruises Enjoy a relaxing cruise along the mighty Mississippi River while taking in the skyline of New Orleans. The Steamboat Natchez offers a ride aboard an authentic steam-powered paddle wheeler with optional dinner, live jazz music, and a history of jazz.
3. Outdoor Adventures – If you’re looking for outdoor water activities, consider exploring the bayous of the Manchac Swamp in a kayak or canoe. Additionally, there are airboat tours available that provide an exciting experience while exploring the wild bayou country and observing alligators and other wildlife.

Gulf Islands Waterpark, located a little over an hour away, offers a variety of water attractions including slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river
